The object of Deuces Wild Poker is to start with five cards, and through discarding some of the cards and drawing others build a hand which contains one of a number of different winning combinations similar to those in the traditional table game of Five Card Draw Poker.
Each of the cards has a hierarchical position in the 13-card suit. The sequence from highest to lowest in rank is Ace - King - Queen - Jack - 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - Ace. The Ace occupies the position at both ends of the sequence.
Therefore, the Ace can be used in a run of five sequential cards, known as a "straight", in one of two positions - at the beginning of the run, Ace - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5, or at the end of the run, 10 - Jack - Queen - King - Ace. In all other circumstances except a straight, Aces always take the higher rather than lower rank in relation to other cards.
All of the 2 values cards, despite their suit (known as Deuces) are Wild Cards and counts as whatever other card most improves a player's hand. For example, in a hand consisting of 4 - 5 - 6 - 8 - 2, the Deuce would count as if it was a seven, making the hand a winning straight sequence 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8. Similarly, in a hand consisting of 10 - 2 - 9 - Ace - 10, the Deuce would count as another ten, turning a single pair of tens into a "Three of a Kind" winning combination. In the case of two pairs and a Deuce, the Deuce will turn the hand into a "Full House" winning combination by counting as a third card of whichever pair has the higher rank.
Basic Online Deuces Wild Strategy
Four Deuces - Hold all five cards, you can't improve this hand.
Three Deuces - Hold a wild royal flush and five-of-a-kind. Otherwise, hold the deuces only.
Two Deuces - Hold any hand that's four-of-a-kind or better. Keep any four cards to a royal flush, or you should keep the two deuces.
One Deuce - Hold all paying hands, with the exception of four cards to a royal flush.
Keep four cards to a straight flush, three cards to a royal flush. Otherwise, keep the deuce.
No Deuce:
Hold all paying hands, except hold four cards to a royal flush, instead of a lesser paying hand.
Hold a four-card straight flush.
Hold a three-card to a royal flush.
Hold any one pair (keep two pair only if full house pays the same as four-of-a-kind).
Hold a four-card flush.
Hold a consecutive four-card straight.
Hold three cards to a straight flush.
Hold any two of 10, J, Q, or K, of the same the same suit.
If you don't hold any of the above cards then draw five new cards.

If you don't hold any of the available card combinations dump them. Your best play statistically is to re draw five new cards.
The above is sometimes difficult to do, but increases your chances of long term success in Deuces Wild video poker.
